I was takling with a long time user the other day and she gave me her current protocol. The horse had been doing great but it had settled into a routine. She was treating her horse about every two days. If she went longer than three days, the heaves symptoms slowly returned. We tried an intensive protocol for a week to see if a change in routine would help.
Surprise, the cough came back for a few days, mild drainage also came back. After a few days--the coughing stopped and the nose dried out.
