Operation
The VibraVM™ Airway Clearance Device is easy to operate.

Your VibraVM™ Acoustic Percussor is powered by Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries. Before using the Device, assure that its batteries are fully charged. This should be done at least two hours before use. Charging can take up to two hours. (See the “Battery Maintenance” section.)
The components required for operation are:
- Device Body
- Disposable Nose Piece
- Disposable Diaphragm and Bio-Bag
-
Ready the Device by placing the Diaphragm in the Nose Piece. Place the Nose Piece in the Bio-Bag, and then gently twist the Device Body onto the Nose Piece through the Bio-Bag. Fold the Bio-Bag back to cover the Device Body. (See the “Diaphragm and Bio-Bag Procedures” section.)
-
Push the larger On/Off button. This turns the Device on.
-
While the Device is on, select the desired Mode (Low, High or Massage) by pressing the smaller Mode button twice quickly to toggle between modes (sound will stop). The yellow Mode indicator lights will show which mode is selected.
-
Press the larger On/Off button again to re-start the Device and begin treatment.
-
In Low and High modes, the device will automatically perform eight minute protocols consisting of 3.6 minutes of gradually increasing sound pulses, followed by 20 seconds of “white noise”, followed by 3.6 more minutes of sound pulses at increasing frequencies, and ending with another 20 seconds of “white noise”.
-
In Massage Mode, the device will deliver “white noise” until manually stopped by pressing the On/Off button.
-
To Pause during treatment, press the larger On/Off button. To Resume, press it again. The treatment will continue from where it stopped.
-
To Reset, press the Mode button once and go to step 3 above.
Diaphragm and Bio-Bag Procedures
The Device should never be operated without first installing a protective Diaphragm and recommended Bio-Bag. When properly installed, the Diaphragm acts as a moisture barrier between the Device's sound transducer and the disposable Nose Piece while allowing the transfer of sound from the Device's sound transducer through the Nose Piece to the animal’s airway passages and lungs. The Bio-Bag is designed to help protect the outside of the Device Body from contamination and acts as a containment bag for discarding disposable components after use.
Diaphragm and Bio-Bag Installation

Place the Diaphragm in the Nose Piece if it's not there already. Place the Nose Piece and Diaphragm inside the Bio-Bag.

Align the large open end of the Nose Piece with the inside bottom of the Bio-Bag and hold in place with one hand.

While holding the Nose Piece in one hand, gently twist the Device Body onto the Nose Piece with the Bio-Bag and Diaphragm in between. When the Device Body will no longer turn in the Nose Piece, stop. Do not over-tighten.

Fold the Bio-Bag back to cover and protect the Device Body from contamination.
Diaphragm and Bio-Bag Removal

When the treatment is finished, fold the Bio-Bag forward over the Nose Piece to contain it and any contamination.

Gently twist off the Nose Piece and its Diaphragm contained in the Bio-Bag from the Device Body. Wipe off the outside of the Device Body with an alcohol swab and return it to its protective Carrying Case.

Close the Bio-Bag with its Nose Piece, Diaphragm and contaminants and discard or reprocess.
