Care and Cleaning of your VibraVM™ Acoustic Percussor

  • Your VibraVM™ Acoustic Percussor is built to withstand normal field use. Should the Device ever stop working or become damaged, DO NOT attempt repairs yourself. This will void your Warranty and could cause serious damage. Instead, contact us. (See “Service” section.)

  • Keep your Device clean by wiping the Device Body with 70% isopropyl alcohol after each use. Avoid contact with the exposed speaker when the Nose Piece is not attached. NEVER SUBMERGE THE DEVICE BODY IN A LIQUID OF ANY KIND. This could damage the Device permanently.

  • Protect your Device and subsequent animals from contamination. Your Device comes with Diaphragms, Nose Pieces and Bio-Bags. Keep a generous supply on hand. It is generally recommended that these disposable items be discarded after each use and replaced in accordance with the “Diaphragm and Bio-Bag Procedures” in this manual.

  • Return the Device to its padded Carrying Case after each use. Periodically wipe off the Carrying Case to keep it clean.

  • The VibraVM™ Airway Clearance Device comes in a durable padded soft Carrying Case to protect the Device while in storage and in transit.

The case has a convenient pocket in its lid for your Operating

Manual and to store a supply of Diaphragms and Bio-Bags.

There is also a space to store the Mobile Charger that

works in your car or truck. If the Carrying Case becomes

soiled, remove its contents and gently hand wash.

Nose Piece Reprocessing

It is generally recommended that the Nose Piece be discarded in it's Bio-Bag after each use. However, you may decide to reprocess and reuse the Nose Piece in cases involving multiple treatments with the same animal for a single incidence of the same condition. Reprocess the Nose Piece and diaphragm by washing and soaking for ten minutes in a solution of three parts water to one part chlorine bleach. Rinse thoroughly and air dry. If the diaphragm is damaged, replace the Nose Piece assembly.

It is recommended that the Bio-Bag be replaced after each treatment to avoid contamination of the Device Body and its components.

Battery Maintenance

  • Batteries are enclosed and sealed in the Device Body. Never attempt to open the Device as this may cause serious damage and will void both the Warranty and the Exchange Program.

  • When your Device is new, there is a battery “break-in” period. You will notice that the batteries charge in less than the normal two hours, and deplete in less than the normal two hour use time. Normal charge times and use times are realized after several charging cycles.

  • When the batteries begin to resist recharging and are nearing the end of their life (approximately three years), you are eligible for the Company’s Exchange Program as outlined later in this manual.

Battery Charging Procedure

It is recommended that you recharge the batteries at least two hours before use. The batteries give about two hours of use before loosing their charge and will also discharge when in storage and not in use. The Progress Indicator lights will blink when the batteries are nearing their recharge level. If the batteries are completely depleted, the Device will not operate. To recharge the batteries:

  1. Turn the Device off with the On/Off button.

  2. Insert the adapter on the end of the Battery Charger into the Charging Port on the Device.

  3. Plug the Battery Charger into any standard 110 volt wall outlet.

  4. The yellow On/Off indicator light should now be on and not blinking.

  5. The green Progress indicator lights will turn on sequentially as charging progresses.

  6. Charging is complete when the five green Progress indicator lights are off and the yellow On/Off indicator light is blinking.

  7. Unplug the Battery Charger from the Device and from the wall outlet. Return the battery charger to the Carrying Case.

  8. The Device will not operate with the Battery Charger attached.

Exchange Program

The life of the battery pack is about 800 charge cycles or approximately three years. When the batteries begin to resist recharging and are nearing the end of their useful life, you are eligible for the Company’s Exchange Program.

Batteries are enclosed and sealed in the Device Body. They are a specialty item and not available in stores. Never attempt to open the Device to change batteries yourself as this may severely damage the Device and will void both the Warranty and the Exchange Program.

At any time after the Warranty period, you can return the Device and receive a new Device for a reasonable fee. Simply visit the Company’s website at www.VibraVM.com and click on “Exchange Program” for details and procedures.

Service

You may have your Device repaired whether it is under warranty or not. There is a charge for repairs after the one-year warranty period. The repair charges include all labor and materials. In the United States, the full charge is subject to your local sales tax. All taxes will appear as a separate line item on the Repair Invoice.

Service Warranty – Any out-of-warranty repairs are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 90 days from date of service.

Shipping Instructions – Should your Device require service, return it with a description of the problem. The Device should be packaged in its Carrying Case and boxed so as to prevent damage during shipment. Such damage is not covered by your One-Year Limited Warranty.
