General Health & Lung History: Good health history; some inhalant and contact allergy issues.
Current Medications: Allergy shots
Stable Conditions: Stabled inside 15 x 15 stall
Time mostly spent: Outside 30% Inside 70%
Feed: Alfalfa hay

Observations at Presentation: Allergic reaction, elevated respiratory rate, clear nasal dischare, dry cough, depressed, elevated temperature.
Diagnosis: Unknown, possible allergic reaction with secondary infection.
Medications: None

NOTES:
At beginning of treatment horse had a dry cough with clear nasal discharge and was visibly uncomfortable. By day two the cough was gone, horse was BAR, eating, and drinking. By day three nasal discharge was gone and all other parameters were better. Follow up difficult due to poor owner compliance.
